It is all about healthy eating and lifestyle nowadays, more than I have ever known. Healthy diet is a trend nowadays such as sugarfree, low fat, fat free, no carbs and so on. It is a good thing of course, finally being healthy gets a big attention in the world and it becomes a trend, a lifestyle of many people out there.
To be honest I love my belly though, I love food and I love eating meat, but also fruits and vedges. I am trying to eat healthy and currently experiencing with diary free and white flour free diet.
What I have noticed, if your diet is too complicated you will never start and if its too restricted you will never finish it.
I do not believe too much restrictions because that can make you miserable and unhappy and that is not the purpose of it. You should feel happy and healthy and satisfied when eating, you should feel that you achieved a healthier you by doing it. Therefore I would suggest if you wanna come with restrictions in your diet, then do it step by step and do not cut everything at the same time,

Foods do not make you fat in general the excessive intake of most food will make you gain weight.
Remember the only place calories come from are the macros. Fat always has 9 calories per gram while carbs and protein always have 4. The math works out the same way whether your fat is from avocados, steak, canola oil or peanut butter.
The key is knowing how many calories your body needs, based on your individual body, energy level, and goals. This number is called your TDEE (Total daily energy expenditure) and is the foundation of any solid fat loss or muscle gain program.
Easy and logical if you want to lose weight you have to start to reduce the energy intake so you have to eat less calories than what you body requires. If we eat more calories than our body requires, we will gain weight. If we eat less calories than our body needs, we will lose weight. The TDEE calculator tells us how many calories we should consume to efficiently reach our goals regardless of the foods we eat.
Once you know your TDEE reduce it by 20% for fat loss so your body will burn your body fat as fuel and then you will start losing weight. Then the remaining calories needed to be split up between the macro nutrients: carbs, protein and fat.
